报告人简介Prof. Guy Smagghe is leading a strong multidisciplinary team on sciences & technology with insects important in agriculture at Ghent University with special emphasis on original and innovative research in insect physiology, molecular biology, applied ecology and on mechanisms underlying the evolutionary success of insects against the plethora of chemical challenges in the environment, all with the aim for a sustainable environment-friendly control of pest insects and crop protection.

Prof. Smagghe has been awarded in 2012 as Fellow by the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He is an editorial board member of 18 international journals. Meanwhile, he takes his important roles in government organizations, such as the European Food Safety Authority and the European Network for the Management of Arthropod Resistance against Insecticides and Acaricides.
